Greetings! I’m glad you found your way to the Steven Wells Genealogy Blog. This is a beginning for me. The beginning has lasted a long time–forty plus years to be exact.
I’ve been working on my own family genealogy for forty years. It was a painstaking journey in the beginning. Websites like familysearch.org, ancestry.com, americanancestors.com, and wikitree.com were only a glimmer in my eyes when I first started. These websites along with a host of others have given us genealogist-want-to-be the tools to research our families from the comfort of our living room.
I’ve made some exciting discoveries along the way: Mayflower ancestors, Puritan ancestors, Quaker ancestors, and many, many others. My ancestors were often at the panicle of the founding of the United States. They’ve fought in the Revolutionary War along with ever other battle this country has seen.
The surnames in my family include: Wells, Blackford, Williamson, Monts, Best, Richards, Nicholson, Miller, Boor, Wynn, Walker, Edwards, and Ewing through my second great grandparents.
This is just the beginning of this blog as well. I plan to tell you about my journey as a professional genealogist. I’ll share stories from my experiences with as much detail as my client relationship allows. I’ll also pass along some personal tips along with way. Please let me know how and what you enjoy about this blog.
